Al Mashriq Engineering & Construction Co. has an established policy to ensure the safety of all workers and employers on the site through a detailed plan. We recognize and accept our responsibility as an employer to provide a safe and secure work place for all of its employees on the site and take all reasonably practical steps to meet these responsibilities, paying particular attention to the provision and maintenance of: Plant equipment and systems. Safety arrangements for the use, handling, storage, and Transportation of substances. Sufficient information, instruction, and Training to enable all employees to avoid hazards and contribute positively to their own safety of work.

The PM is responsible for the overall safety and security policy administration of Al Mashriq . The Safety Officer is responsible to Al Mashriq Engineering & Construction Co. PM for the implementation of the security program. The Subcontractor Project Managers (e.g. mechanical and electrical, landscaping, etc.) will each be responsible through Tr’s PM for the implementation of the Safety Program within the areas of their respective work SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Manager – The PM is responsible for the provision of resources and for the development of the organization to implement the group policy on health and safety at work and for ensuring that the policy is implemented and monitored. He is also responsible for ensuring that all work activities are carried out it accordance with this work site safety plan. These duties include but not limited to:‐ The formulation and adoption of safe working practices. The development of plans for promotion of such practices. An auditing program to identify any weaknesses in the system. The measurement of success of such practices and policy in general Ensuring staff are suitable Trained for the task they are expected to perform. Ability to give an order to stop the job when any of Safety violation occur in the site
Safety Officer will survey and inspect all construction activities, workshops, premises, plant, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with the requirements of Client’s safety and loss prevention rules and regulations. He will also:
Advise, recommend and implement safe working practices and identify, remove and reduce hazards. recommend and/or advise the provisions and use of protective clothing and equipments. Investigate report and keep records of accidents and dangerous incidents.
Arrange and conduct periodical safety meetings for company employees. Maintain liaison with Subcontractors to ensure that their site safety programs, documentation and safe systems of work are provided and implemented in accordance with this program
